With one membership, you can enjoy all four Y locations: Gettysburg, Littlestown, North Hanover, and South Hanover. With 24/7 access, fitness centers are always available (excludes Gettysburg).

Must reside in same household. Dependents are classified as legal dependents up through the age of 22 residing in the same household. Rates are subject to change without notification. All fees are non-refundable. Members are responsible for notifying the membership office of any change in membership status in order to qualify for a new membership category (i.e. Adult to Senior). Membership fees can be paid in two convenient ways – 1: A monthly draw from a checking account or credit card account or 2: Pay in full annually. Renewing an inactive membership must be done within 30 days to avoid a joining fee.

Member Resources

The Y is for everyone, and we mean that. If cost is standing in the way, financial assistance is available. Access to health, wellness, and community shouldn’t depend on your budget. Stop by or give us a call and we’ll get you taken care of.

Membership & Program Support Application

Whether you’re introducing a local friend to Y or welcoming out-of-town family, guest passes make it easy.

All guests may check in at the front desk and are welcome up to three times per calendar year. A valid photo ID, completed liability waiver, and a quick photo for their Y profile are all that’s needed to get started.

Guidelines:

  • Current Adult Members (18+) may purchase a guest pass ( Individual $10 | Family $25)
  • Adult Members may bring up to two guests per day per purchased guest pass.

FULL GUEST PASS PROCEEDURE (***need new copy)

We want your Y to be there when you need it, early mornings, late nights, and everything in between. Our 24-hour access gives eligible members the flexibility to fit fitness into their schedule on their terms. Here’s what you need to know before getting started:

  • Available to adult members (18+) only.
  • A background check and one-time activation fee are required to get started.
  • Access is tied to your assigned key card and cannot be shared, even with family members on your membership. 
  • No staff are present during unstaffed hours, the Y strongly recommends bringing a workout partner who also has 24-hour access. Emergency alert necklaces are also available.
  • Snow and ice removal does not occur until staffed hours begin, please use caution during this time

24/7 ACCESS WAIVER

Wellness isn’t just for people. Don’t leave your four-legged friend behind, here’s what to know before you visit:

Your dog must:

  • Be up to date on Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccinations.
  • Be friendly and social around people and other dogs.
  • Wear a collar or harness at all times.
  • Remain off leash inside the park and on leash everywhere else on Y property.

Members must:

  • Be 18 years or older.
  • Stay inside the park while your dog is in the park.
  • Clean up after your dog, waste stations are available on site.
  • Exchange contact information directly with other participants in the event of an injury.

Good to know:

  • Memberships renew annually in person, updated vaccination records are required at that time.
  • Staff are not present inside the park, though the Y maintains and cleans the space regularly.
  • The Y reserves the right to remove any person or dog from the park for behavior that poses a risk to others.

DOG PARK WAIVER

The Hanover Area YMCA will always put the safety of our members, guests and staff first when we make decisions concerning inclement weather. When extreme weather poses a safety threat, the YMCA may adjust or cancel scheduled hours of operation, programs/classes and/or special events. If facilities close, Y Members may utilize 24/7 Access where available.

CLASSES & PROGRAMS

A decision will be made by 8:00PM the night before, or 4:00AM the morning of, concerning all morning classes and/or operational closure.
A decision will be made no later than 3:00PM concerning evening classes with start times of 4:00pm or later. Child Watch will be closed if classes are canceled.

DISCOVERY PROGRAM (BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL CARE) for HPSD, SWSD, CVSD, LASD

  • Should severe weather or other conditions prevent schools from opening; our program will not be held.
  • Should schools delay one hour, programs will open at 7:30AM and run until the start of school.
  • Should schools delay two hours, programs will open at 8:30AM and run until the start of school.
  • Should schools delay two hours and then close before the 8:30AM start time, the Discovery program will not run.
  • If schools decide to close for the day after our start time, we will notify parents to come pick up their child.
  • Should schools dismiss early due to inclement weather, the Discovery program will be cancelled for the afternoon
    and it will be the parent’s responsibility to arrange transportation/pickup from the school.

ACADEMY OF EARLY LEARNING

The Childcare Director will determine all closures, delays, and early dismissals and communicate those decisions to parents via Slack app.

COMPETITIVE SPORTS (HANOVER GYMNASTICS, HANOVER VOLLEYBALL CLUB, SHARKS SWIM CLUB, STRINGRAYS SWIM CLUB)

Competitive team practice and competition cancellations will come from the Head Coach.

REC SPORTS (YOUTH & ADULT)

The Sports Director will communicate when games, practices or rentals are canceled.
