Swim - Hanover - Stingrays Swim Club
This competitive program offers children and teens an opportunity to work with trained coaches to improve swimming skills, endurance and promote a healthy lifestyle.
- Ages: 6 to 18 years
- Requirements: Swimmers must…
- Be able to demonstrate the following skills:
- Can swim 25 yards freestyle demonstrating breathing to the side and good body position
- Can swim 25 yards backstroke demonstrating good body position
- Can demonstrate the fundamental knowledge of what breaststroke and butterfly should look like
- Can demonstrate the fundamentals of a forward dive from the edge of the pool
- Mastery of strokes is NOT required to join
Our North Hanover Y Stingrays is a competitive YMCA swim program for children ages 6-18. We offer instruction, training, and competition. Swim Team provides opportunities for personal development in individual stroke technique and skills, improved times, building self-esteem, and good sportsmanship.
No refunds for the program.

Swim with the Rays
SWIM WITH THE RAYS!
Come join us for some fun with the Stingrays! Does your child have an interest in swimming? Swim with the Rays offers you and your child an opportunity to meet the coaches, team and experience a practice to determine if they want to become a Stingray.
We will go over skills, expectations, fun team events offered and how we can work with your swimmer to help them enjoy and succeed on the team.
Parents are welcome to watch and ask questions on deck while their child swims with a Ray!
Requirements are:
Must be able to swim one lap of the pool without stopping.
Welcoming any ages from 6-18.
Dates are 10/22/26 and 10/27/26
Time: 6:30-7:30pm
Winter Season
Join us for our upcoming swim team season! Our season will be between October 19th- February 13th. Practices will be held 6pm-7:30pm at our North Hanover 25M Pool. Practice will be Monday-Thursday.
All team members ages 5-14 will be eligible to compete in the First Capital Winter Swim League, meet fees are included in your registration.
All team members who do not want to compete or are ages 15-18 are still welcome to swim at a reduced rate!
