Early Childhood Education
Academy of Early Learning
North Hanover YMCA
Our Y offers childcare options to support every stage of your child’s early development with thoughtful, age-appropriate care. With dedicated and knowledgeable teachers, we create engaging environments designed to nurture growth and keep children progressing toward key developmental milestones. Explore our programs by age group below.
Infants
Our infant program provides attentive, individualized care from 8 weeks through your child’s first birthday. Each child’s needs are met on an on-demand basis, ensuring a responsive and nurturing environment. As a CACFP-sponsored program (find link for this), we offer Similac Advanced formula feedings or work with families to accommodate preferred feeding methods, including alternative formula and breast feeding.
To provide the best care possible, we work with families to develop techniques to maintain consistency between home and ELC care, making their time at the Y a seamless and comforting part of their daily routine.
Toddler
Toddler care is provided from 12-months to 3-years-old. With such pivotal and varied developmental stages in this age group, we have created a scaffolded curriculum to meet our toddlers at each stage of their development. Our childcare providers focus on creating safe, secure attachments with the children, while also teaching independence and self-care skills like toilet learning.
Through fun play-based activities, we help to foster children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and motor skills that will set them up for success as they move into preschool and beyond.
Preschool
Our Preschool program serves children ages 3-5. Our curriculum focuses on developing in areas of language and literacy, mathematical and scientific thinking, and creative expression. Our classroom operates with mixed ages allowing all kids to learn at their own pace; advancing when needed, but still finding peers when they need to slow down. While our preschoolers are being introduced to a more academic curriculum, we still provide plenty of time for play activities to foster social and emotional development.
Rates
A non-refundable annual registration fee of $25 per child is required at time of registration. Must hold a household membership to receive member rate. Rates are listed per week.
