GETTYSBURG LAP LANE POLICY FOR AQUATIC FITNESS CLASSES

*WHIRLPOOL IS CURRENTLY CLOSED

Instructors

Please become familiar with the guidelines for open lanes during aquatics classes. Take time before your aqua class review these rules with the members.

 

1. Members can use Lap Lanes up until 5 minutes before class starts. (Lap swimmers can keep swimming in open lanes)

The Guard or Instructor politely informs the swimmer that the class is about to start.

Let them know that they are more than welcome to come back when the class finishes.

 

2. Regarding lap lanes, please follow and let members know the expectations:

· Less than 10 people = no lanes removed

· 10 – 19 people = 1 lane removed

· 20 – 25 people = 2 lanes removed

 

3. Lap lanes are not to be removed until 5 minutes before class starts.

4. Inform members our goal is to maintain two (2) lanes open at all times, keeping safety as our top priority.
