My inspiration for Chairing the Kids Come First Campaign is simply this: Imagine a child looking in the front lobby door of our YMCA as they watch their friends enter to go swimming, play basketball, or head to the teen room. The doors are closed to this child because the parents or grandparents cannot afford a membership. Our campaign opens doors for this child and others like them. Our CEO, Cami Bisch, shared her story of humble beginnings in her childhood. Her local YMCA offered financial assistance and opened a door for her that allowed positive experiences that were pivotal in her future. Her successful career has thus far culminated in leading our YMCA. So you see my friends, Kids Come First is an investment in a child’s future which ultimately will effect us all. Please find it in your heart to give as generously as you can.

I’m new to the Hanover area and I instantly fell in love with our local YMCA. The staff and members are incredible and I’m excited to support their annual campaign. When I get the chance to support children, who otherwise may not have an opportunity for a safe place to learn, grow and play, I’m 100% committed. There’s nothing more rewarding than to see a child’s face light up with happiness.
