On-Line Training being offered through the Redwoods Institute for the following courses:

1. Child Sexual Abuse Prevention (1 hour)

2. Sexual Harassment Prevention (30 minutes)

All new hires must complete both courses prior to first day on the job.

Click “I am a New User”.  You will then need to select your state and your association’s name and then enter your access code, which is 005997.

Once you enter your personal information and select a user name and password, you will be logged into the site, where you can see and begin taking the training courses.

The access code will only be needed once.  After registering, each employee will use their own user name and password. 

Once at the home page, click Executive/Management.  Under core courses, you will see both courses listed.  Click on each course and follow instructions.  You do not need to complete both courses at the same time or you can interrupt a course and come back to it at a later time.  Keep in mind employees will be paid the company training rate which is $8.00 per hour and will only be paid a total of 1.5 hours for completion of both courses.

There is no need to print out a certificate of completion unless you desire to do so.  Human Resources can access the system to see which employees have completed which course.  Human Resources will print this information every pay day to be included with the next payroll processing.

You can access from any computer.  Employees not owning their own personal computer, can go to the library or Elizabeth will let you use one of the YMCA’s Laptops onsite.
